craig parshall | dublin, ireland | november 1999 | temple bar area

the
temple bar neighborhood - a mainly pedestrian area with
a few narrow streets that contains a collection of cafes, pubs,
small shops, and art galleries.

the
bad ass cafe, my favorite place for eats in dublin. good menu, great people and fantastic atmosphere. and on top of all that, sinead o'connor once worked there.

the temple bar
(quite an unoriginal considering the name of the neighborhood). late afternoons and early evenings was the best time to hear more traditional irish music, which then gave way to jukeboxes and dj's later at night for the most part.

just outside of the temple bar neighborhood
an example of
american pop culture bleeding into the streets of dublin.
it even had the lyrics to smelly cat on the wall.
