so leaving work on friday afternoon, i crossed the chicago river over the michigan avenue bridge--as i'm often want to do when communting to and from work. but never, in the almost eleven years of working at the chicago tribune, have i ever encountered anyone flying a kite off the side of the bridge before. until today.
