it's 8:15 in the evening, five hours before I'm writing these words this afternoon a sick person walked into a Northern Illinois University lecture hall with a pistol and a shotgun and opened fire on an auditorium full of students. and as of right now i know five students are dead, 16 are wounded, and the bastard with the guns killed himself.

as i'm prone to do, it's been ages since i wrote in here. the day job pretty much soured my creative juices to do anything remotely interesting with parshall.net over the last several months, but here i am, back again.
for those paying attention, a new chicagosports.com has launched. it was long overdue, and it now stands as the last remaining original design of mine that has survived my 10+ years at Chicago Tribune Interactive. I hope it sticks around a lot longer.
A new parshall.net is in beta mode and hopefully will officially launch soon. Every now and then gotta move the furniture around to give the place a fresh look, even though really nothing has changed in the room.
so yeah, that's all i've got tonight. hopefully i can get back into the swing of writing more. hopefully i can get into the swing of dreaming more. i don't ask for much. really.
