skipping a spring training vacation in arizona this year and going to see the white sox play in the bronx in september (yes, i'm planning ahead). it's the final season of the current yankee stadium and i figured it would be cool to see that old ballpark before they tear it down. plus, i've never been to new york city before, so i'm lookin' forward to it. hopefully while i'm there also catch letterman (or stewart, or colbert, or all three depending how long i spend there). and probably a whole lot of other stuff as i tend to get into full tourist mode when i take trips like this.
but if anyone knows of a good place to stay in NYC that doesn't equal a full months mortgage payment, let me know.
